A vintage Japanese sculptural tea bowl crafted from coarse, mineral-rich clay.
During the intense heat of wood firing, feldspar granules expanded and burst through the clay walls, creating a dense ishihaze (stone-explosion) texture across both the exterior and interior surfaces, guiding the eye down to a thick pool of natural wood-ash glaze (biidoro) at the bottom.
