Tombo's collection of vintage Japanese sake accessories brings together sake cups, tokkuri pourers, and matching sake sets hand-sourced during our yearly buying trips to Japan. Each piece is authentic stoneware, chosen for the character that only comes from age, use, and traditional Japanese firing techniques.
Our sake cups, known as guinomi and ochoko, are sourced from some of Japan's most respected kiln regions. Bizen ware sake cups are prized for their unglazed, wood-fired surfaces, with natural ash glaze creating unique colour variation across every piece — no two are ever exactly alike. Shino ware sake sets, including pieces from Senzan Kiln, feature the soft, milky white glazes traditionally associated with Mino ware from Gifu Prefecture. Tamba ware sake cup and pourer sets carry the earthy, rustic finish typical of one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns, while our Seto ware sake sets reflect the refined glazing traditions of one of Japan's oldest and most prolific ceramic-producing regions. We also carry sake cups in warm amber tenmoku glazes, a style known for its deep, glossy iron-oxide finish.
Alongside cups, our tokkuri sake pourers and complete sake sets make it easy to build a full vintage sake serving set, whether you're after a single cup for everyday use or a matching set for entertaining. All pieces are genuine vintage Japanese stoneware, restored in-house where needed by restorers with over 30 years of experience with Japanese antiques.
