Vintage Japanese Cotton Kasuri Haori, Geometric Wave Pattern
A vintage Japanese indigo Kasuri cotton Haori jacket, traditionally worn as workwear.
A vintage Japanese haori woven in the kasuri (ikat) technique from cotton. The design is a repeating geometric pattern of pale blue diamond and oval motifs linked by wavy lines against a deep indigo ground, in the style of the cotton kasuri weaving traditions of Kurume in Kyushu. The interior is finished with a plain ivory lining.
In good vintage condition overall, with no significant staining or damage visible.
