Japanese Side Cabinet - Kiri & Sugi | Midcentury

A vintage Japanese side cabinet. Made from kiri (paulownia) and sugi (cedar) woods, with iron hardware. Mid 20th century.

The cabinet features a pair of sliding doors in the upper section, concealing interior storage, with a row of three small drawers to the right. Below sits a full-width drawer with two ring pulls. The warm honey tone of the paulownia panels contrasts with the cedar carcass, and the original iron ring and bail hardware remains intact throughout. Suited to use as a bedside cabinet, bathroom storage, or compact entryway piece.
