This piece features a a kuro raku (black) style, characterised by its deep black glossy glaze and its imperfect nature, a result of its hand-shaped crafting process. This piece features a specific artist signature that suggests it is a piece from a renowned family of raku potters. Unfortunately this piece is without its original storage box.
