






Antique Japanese Doll of Hideyoshi
A Japanese Edo Musha Ningyo (warrior doll) representing Hideyoshi TOYOTOMI(1536-1598), a prominent figure in Japanese history known for unifying Japan.
Finely crafted details, heads, hands and feet made from wood covered in gofun(a white pigment), Kimono is made of silk, the armor ends and ornaments are made of copper which is engraved by hand, inset glass eyes.
Musha-ningyo dolls like this one are traditionally part of the Gogatsu-ningyo display during Boy's Day (Tango-no-Sekku).
